Diesel Gensets & Engines

PEC offers the complete range of Kirloskar Green Diesel Engines & Diesel Generating Sets, from 5 to 625 KVA rating. The gensets are of two types, namely, Air-cooled gensets and Liquid-cooled gensets. Air-cooled and Liquid-cooled gensets are further grouped into sub-categories, based on their respective engine series.

  • The 5 to 25 KVA fall under the small sized diesel engines. They are available as air cooled engines – EA and HA series; and; as liquid cooled engines – R1040 series.
  • The 25 to 250 KVA fall under the medium sized diesel engines. They are available as air cooled engines – HA series, and, as liquid cooled engines – R1040, K and SL series.
  • The 320 to 625 KVA fall under the higher medium sized diesel engines. They are available as liquid cooled engines – DV series.

3) R1040 liquid-cooled Series - This is a medium sized 4 Stroke Diesel Engine with features as vertical, inline, direct injection, compression ignition engines, liquid cooled, monoblock crankcase and integral cylinder head.

Standard Control Panels

PEC’s Standard Control Panels for the generators are made of powder coated sheet metal and there main function is to ensure automatic shutdown in case of any faults. In addition, all control panels for the 15-600 KVA range gensets are supplied with digital meters. For gensets ranging from 125 KVA and above, the control panels are fitted with an electronic earth fault relay.

The Control Panels come with features depending on the range of their respective genset.

AMF Panels

The Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) Control Panels are specially designed for standby generators. It has microprocessor-based AMF controller for monitoring, indicating and controlling the Mains and Generator for AMF operation. It helps the generators to give emergency power during a mains supply failure.

During operation, the control panel of the AMF monitors the mains entering the building. In case of a mains failure, the panel disconnects the mains from the load, starts the he generator whose output is connected to the load (which are the appliances, lights, etc in use). The generator continues to supply the building until the mains failure is rectified. Once rectified, the generator automatically disconnects, and the main is re-connected to the load.

The AMF panel reverts to standby, ready to respond if another mains failure occurs. The ‘Auto’ status in the generator allows for the incoming mains to be continuously monitored. As and when the mains voltage falls outside the preset limits, it is considered as a 'mains failure' thereby, and starting the generator set.
